IF AMERICANS WERE HEALTHIER: We would DRINK the recommended amount of water (we all KNOW we are supposed to drink at least 8 glasses a day, right? Fruit juice counts, caffeine and alcohol don't). Until we train ourselves to eat less and shrink our bloated stomachs back down to size (psychologically, at least) we probably should drink water just to relieve the emptiness in our gut. Once the body gets used to having enough water, it stops retaining water. That means no bloated fingers and faces. The body needs water for so many reasons. We'd naturally pick up a healthful habit in our effort to break the cycle of self destruction. This is not intended as medical advice which should be obtained directly from your doctor. |
We would probably have better teeth. Side note: low fat / no fat labels on food don't often mention all the added sugar. Another side note: basically sugar = addictive poison (like cigarettes, alcohol, TV, MSG). This is not intended as medical advice which should be obtained directly from your doctor. |
We would actually be closer to the ideal image of beautiful and healthy. We are not talking about stick-twig figures, but muscles and curves, like a 1970 Corvette. Every strong and healthy body is an inspiring image of life and grace. We'd have better sex. This is not intended as medical advice which should be obtained directly from your doctor. |
We wouldn't have 14 year old girls complaining their ankles are too fat. Or 9 year old girls complaining their butts are too big. Or a 6 year old child crying because his grandfather of 51 died of a heart attack. We need to take this stuff seriously. America would be better off as a nation including: improved health, improved economy, culture, improved community, improved family. What can we do to create this world of a healthy America? To enhance our quality of life? I don't know. It's your life, you decide. Don’t resolve to do something. Do it.
