What is Right for You?

The number of choices for vitamins has increased dramatically in the last decades.  It used to be that one multi-vitamin was all that was recommended.  These days, with so much new information available, it's difficult to know where to start.  How much is enough?  How much is too much?  Should I take a C-vitamin everyday, or just when I have a cold?

With new studies published everyday, it's a challenge for the average consumer to keep up.  The best route is to visit a licensed nutritionist who will analyze your food intake and determine what is missing from your diet and what vitamins or supplements would benefit your health.  Another option is to visit www.drweil.com.  Dr. Weil is the alternative medicine guru.  His website has a vitamin library and a section on herbal remedies that can answer many of your questions.  Additionally, they have an interactive program called Vitamin Advisor that can help point you in the right direction based on your health concern.

Relaxation 

It's a healthy part of a well balanced lifestyle.  How can we find the time in our busy schedules to dedicate toward our own well being? 

How much time do you spend watching the news (maybe adding stress)?  If it's twice a day, try it just once a day and spend the extra time on a little daily R&R for yourself.

How much time do you spend on household chores?   Are you thinking about work problems when you're at home washing the dinner dishes?  Why?  Try playing some pleasant music during your household work.  Think about the music and the task at hand and let go of the other stress for a while.  Let your brain put those thoughts on the back burner.  It will still be there later, but who knows?  When you get back to it the time and renewed perspective might really help.
